Newt Gingrich - making unfair and unbalanced statements. He’s busy complaining that he can’t to afford to run in a fair election because of the “left wing media” (let’s just ignore the FoxNews effect), unions, and Soros (but ignore the Koch bros?).

Right - so he’s going to do what exactly then?

Run an election based on lies, innuendo, and smears?

BTW, it’s not the media’s job to help Gingrich (or other politicians for that matter). It’s their damned job to keep the politicians honest and report on malfeasance, misjudgements, and other skeletons in the closet that should expose a candidate’s character and judgment (or lack of same).

The media, which tends to have a herd mentality when it comes to these things, needs to maintain a critical eye towards all the candidates - on both sides of the aisle.
